Two days after the conclusion of the Indonesia Sustainability Forum and Papua New Guinea giving the Keynote Address as part of the ASEAN Summit held in Jakarta, Indonesia held earlier this month, the G20 Leaders Summit was hosted in India. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi along with the leaders of Singapore, Bangladesh, Italy, USA, Brazil, Argentina, Mauritius and UAE, launched the Global Biofuel Alliance on 9 September 2023, on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in New Delhi, India. Join us on this exploration of the latest developments and initiatives in decarbonization and the path to a net-zero future and why some of the world’s largest islands such as Papua New Guinea can underpin the economic growth of their economy and represent the economic and social agenda as net zero and decarbonization become political priorities for the world’s largest contributors to green house gas emissions in the world’s largest economies with the APEC region, ASEAN, the G8 and G20.
